ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE INCORPORXTED CITY OF LYNWOOD,
CALIFORNIA, ANNEXING "BROADACRES" TO SAID CITY OF
LYN',Y 00 D .
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE INCORPORATED CITY
OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
That in accordance with the requirements of law, the
electors of the territory known as "Broadacres," and more loarticu-
larly described in Section 3 of this ordinance, did upon June 30,
1941, vote to annex said lands and territory and make the same a
part of the incorporated City of Lynwood, California.
Section 2.
That the returns of said election have been duly canvassed
by the City Council of the City of Lynwood, California. That this
City Council has fully inspected the record of such annexation and
found that all proceedings for said annexation and the election
thereon have been regularly and fully carried out and completed as
by law required, and the record thereof entered upon the minutes of
this city Council, by its resolution No. 1334 .
That it appears from said record that a majority of all
votes cast at said election is in favor of said annexation.
Section 3.
NOW, THEREFORE, the annexation of the territory known as
"Broadacres" and more particularly described as

Beginning at the intersection of the Westerly line
of Bullis Road with the Westerly prolongation of
the northerly line of Carlin Avenue (33 feet wide),
as shown on County Surveyorts Map No. B -120, Sheet
6, said point of beginning being on the Easterly
boundary line of the City of Lynwood, as said
boundary line existed on February 10, 1941; thence
Easterly along said prolonged line to the Easterly
line of Bullis Road; thence Easterly along the
Northerly line of said Carlin Avenue to the Wester-
ly line of Caress Street (40 feet wide), as shown on
said County Surveyor's Map; thence Northerly along
the Westerly line of Caress Street to the Southerly
line of Tract No. 11378, as shown on Map recorded in
Book 203, pages 27 and 28 of Maps, Records of Los
Angeles County, California; thence Northerly along
the easterly line of said Tract No. 11378 and its
Northerly prolongation to a point 30 feet Northerly
from the Northerly line of said Tract No. 11378, said
point being on the Southerly boundary line of the City
of Lynwood as said boundary line existed February 10,
1941; thence Westerly along said boundary line and
following the same in all its various courses to the
point of beginning.

to the City of Lynwood, California, is hereby approved and the same
is, in accordance with the laws of the State of California, hereby
ordained to be annexed and made a part of the City of Lynwood,
California.
Section 4.
That the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood is hereby
directed, after its final passage and adoption and approval, to
prepare a duly certified copy of this ordinance and submit the same
to the Secretary of the State of California, and to attach the
certificate of said Secretary of State showing receipt thereof, to
the files and records of said annexation.
Section 5.
The City Clerk of the City of Lynwood is hereby directed
to publish this ordinance, after its final passage, adoption, and
approval, one time in the "Lynwood Press," a newspaper of legal
issue, published and circulated in said City of Lynwood, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED AND APPROVED this if day of July,
19 1 1941.
