SECTION XV
Unless sooner amended or repealed this ordinance shall
be and remain in full force and effect as an ordinance of the City
of Lynwood, California, for the duration of the present War.
SECTION XVI
The City Council of said Cit,r hereby declares that be-
cause of the present War with Japan, Germany and the axis allies
against the United States, and because of the City of Lynwood being
located in an area where there are many national defense industries,
and because of the danger of enemy attach from air and land, there
is an immediate emergency for establishing and putting into opera-
tion Civilian Defense Services. That because of said emergency this
ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
publication once in the Lynwood cress, a newspaper weekly issued
published and circulated within the amity of Lynwood.
SECTION XVI.I
The City Clerk shall cause a duly certified copy of this
ordinance to be published once in the Lynwood Press in the next
issue after the adoption and signing hereof.

I, the undersigned, City Clerk of the City of
Lynwood, California, do hereby certify that the above
and foregoing Ordinance was duly adopted by the City
Council of said City at an adjourned _ regular
meeting thereof held in the City Hall of said City,
on the 30th day of March , 1942 and
passed by the following vote:
