AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYN1,700D, 1`,AIVING
CERTAIN DELINQUENT PEItiALTIES FOR THE NON-
PAYMENT OF LIGHTING ASZESSMENTS, AND DECLAr-
ING AN EMILRGENCY.
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does ordain
as follows:
SEC'T'ION 1: That all unpaid delinquency penalties and
cost` for the non - payment of lightint; assessments, levied in the
Special Light and Maintenance Districts in said City since 1926,
excepting the 1936, 1937, 1938, 1939 and 1941 Special Light Mainten-
ance Assessments, be, and the same are hereby waived, subject to
the provisions of the following; Section:
SEC`1'ION 2: The above waiver shall be applicable only to
such lighting assessments, the principa, sum of which shall be paid
prior to April 20th, 1943, together with intereet thereon at the
rate of ?�o per annum from July 1 s t, 1941.
SECTION 3: Whereas an emergency exists because of the
limitations of time and for the relief of tax payers, the benefits
of this ordinance are urgently demanded because of the present
economic condition. The City Council does therefore, hereby de-
clares that an emergency exists and that this ordinance shall be
in full force and effect upon the first publication thereof.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this Ordinance and cEuse the same to be published once in the
Lynwood Press, and the same shall become effective.
