WHEREAS, the ordinances of the City of Lynwood, herein- after enumerated, have either been repealed by implication or have become obsolete or ineffective; and WHEREAS, it is the desire and intent of the City Council to revise and clarify the ordinance records of said City; and WHEREAS, it appears advisable in the revision of said ordinance records to have specifically repealed all such ordinances as have heretofore been repealed by* implication, superseded by other ordinances covering the same subject matter, or which have otherwise become ineffective; NOW, THEREFORE, THE,CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOIVS: SECTION 1. CERTAIN ORDINANCES NOT AFFECTED BY ORDINANCES HEREIN REPEALED. If by reference to other ordinances, or otherwise, any of the ordinances herein repealed grant private rights, interests or privileges, or in any manner affect any contract, per- mit or franchise wherein or whereby such. private rights, interests or privileges have been obtained, the City Council does hereby declare that it is not its intention to disturb such private rights, interests or privileges, or contracts, franchises or permits under which the same were issued, but all such rights, interests, privi- leges, contracts, permits, or franchises are hereby saved and con- tinued in full force and effect. SECTION 3. ORDINANCES HERETOFORE REPEALED NOT REENACTED BY THIS ORDINANCE. The repeal of any ordinance by the City Council shall not revive any ordinance heretofore repealed or superseded m r any.office heretofore abolished, nor shall any such repeal be con- strued as a declaration that any ordinance or part of any ordinance -3- 1 2 3 4 5 6 71 8' 9 10 11 12 13 heretofore expressly or impliedly repealed was in force at aiy time subsequent to such first repeal, and all ordinances and parts of ordinances which were repealed or abrogated by or were repugnant to any of the ordinances above repealed shall remain repealed. SECTION 4. PENDING ACTIONS NOT AFFECTED BY ORDINANCES REPEALED. This ordinance shall not affect any actions now pending for the prosecution of offenders of the provisions of any of the ordinances repealed hereby, but as to such ordinances, the same shall remain in full force and effect until the final termination of such actions. SECTION 5. EXECUTION AND PUBLICATION.
