RESOLUTION NO. 82 -18
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN
IMPROVEMENTS ARE BENEFICIAL TO REDEVELOPMENT
PROJECT AREA "A" AND APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH
THE LYNWOOD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY TO REIMBURSE THE
CITY FOR SUCH IMPROVEMENTS.
WHEREAS, the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency desires
make - certain public improvements in targeted areas so as to
encourage and support present and future developments; and
to
WHEREAS, the subject public improvements are of sub-
stantial benefit to the expanded Project Area "A" and to the
redevelopment thereof in accordance with the Redevelopment Plan; and
WHEREAS, existing water lines along the street can not
accommodate flow requirements as given in the fire code; and
WHEREAS, the associated with the installation of
the required water transmission line is $200,000 for labor and
materials; and
WHEREAS, the- Ac desires to accomplish this task as soon
as possible_and City agrees to accept reimbursement from the Agency
in order to complete the work;
WHEREAS, the public improvements are not listed in the
City's Capital Outlay budget for 1981 -82 and are not included in the
City's Water System Master Plan approved by the City Council of the
City of Lynwood on October 6, 1981; and
WHEREAS, there are no funds or other reasonable'methods
available to provide such financing;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby resolve:
Section 1 . It is hereby found and determined, pursuant
to Health and Safety Code Section 33445, that the proposed improve-
ments are of benefit to Redevelopment Project Area "A" and that
there is no other reasonable method of financing such improvements.
Section 2 . The Reimbursement Agreement attached hereto
as Exhibit A is hereby approved and the Mayor is authorized and
.directed to execute such agreement.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of
February 1982.
