RESOLUTION NO. 82 -58
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD ASSESSING THE COST OF ABATEMENT AT 12525
ATLANTIC AVENUE (ASSESSOR'S;PARCEL 6186 -013 -106)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has held
a public hearing and has found and declared the property at 12525
Atlantic Avenue legally described as Lot 16 of Tract to be a
public nuisance as defined in Chapter 21 of the Lynwood City Code;
and, `
WHEREAS, the owner of property was notified of the
steps necessary to abate the nuisance; and directed to atiat`e` the
nuisance; and, '
WHEREAS, the owner of the pioperty was notified that the
nuisance would be abated by City personnel or private contractor if
not abated by the owner within thirtyj(30) days of the Resolution,
with the property owner to be liable to the City for all costs of
abatement; and,
WHEREAS, following the thirty -day period described above,
the nuisance was abated by City forces, as noted in the attached
Report;

NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved:
Section 1. The Abatement Cost Report of the Director of
Community. - De o men €g on file with the City Clerk and attached here-
to as an exhibit is hereby confirmed and approved. The costs of
__ sa_i.d_a,ba.t.emen.t.,. total _ ing - $306. 75 ar,e_ hereby assessed against the
property owner and, if not paid within thirty (30) days from the
date of this resolution, said costs shall be imposed as a special
assessment upon the property located at 12525 Atlantic Avenue and
more particularly described in the attached Abatement Cost Report.
Section 2 . The County Assessor, County Tax Collector and
Auditor are hereby authorized and directed, upon receipt of this
resolution to- receive the same and tolproceed to add the amount of
the assessment indicated in the Abatement Cost Report to the next
regular.bill of taxes levied against the parcel of land described
herein and to enter the same amount in the County Assessment Book
opposite the property described herein and referred to in the Abate-
ment Cost Report. Such assessment shall be collected with all other
taxes against the property at the same time and in the same manner,
and shall be subject to the same penalties and the same procedure
and sale in case of delinquency as provided for ordinary municipal
taxes, all as provided in Lynwood Municipal Code Sections 21 -15
et seq. and California Government Code Section 38773.5.

Section 3 . The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a
copy of this resolution to be served upon the owner of the property
-by registered - or - certified - mai_1__ addressed to the owner at the last
known address of the owner, pursuant to Section 21 -20 of-the-Lynwood' _.
Municipal Code.
