AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TIFFIN ZONING ORDINANCE
NO. 2007-287 AND ANY AMENDMENTS THERETO BY ADDING
'ATHLETIC TRAINING FACILITY' TO THE PERMITTED PRINCIPAL,
USES AND STRUCTURES OF THE M-1 (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL) AND
THE M-2 (HEAVY INDUSTRIAL) ZONING DISTRICTS
BE IT ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa:
Section I. P=ose. The purpose of this ordinance is to amend Zoning
Ordinance No. 2007-287, Section 3, Industrial Districts, Table M-1 and M-2
(Permitted Principal Uses and Structures) to allow the permitted use of an Athletic
Training FacIty,
Section 11. Amendment. Section 3, Industrial Districts; the following is
added to TABLE M-1 and M-2, Permitted Principal Uses and Structures:

7. (c) Athletic Training Facility
M-2
8. (a) Athletic Training Facility
Section 111. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with
the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section IV. Severability. If any section, provision, or part of this ordinance
shall be adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect
the validity of the ordinance as a whole, or any section, provision, or part thereof not
adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
Section V. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in effect after its final
passage, approval, and posting as provided by law.
On the 22,d day of March 2016, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Havens introduced Ordinance No. 2016-383, and moved that it
be given its first reading. The motion was seconded by Councilperson Kahler.
Ayes:! Kahler, Ryan, Havens, Bartels, Upton
Nays: None.
Five members of the Council being present and having voted "Aye", Mayor Steve
Berner declared the motion carried, and Ordinance No. 2016-383, was read the first
time, discussed, and placed on record.
On the 5th day of April 2016, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Havens. introduced Ordinance No. 2016-383, and moved that it
be given its second reading. The motion was seconded by Councilperson. Upton.
Ayes: Upton, Bartels, Kahler, Havens.
Nays: None.
Four members of the Council being present and having voted "Aye", Mayor Steve
Berner declared the motion carried, and Ordinance No. 2016-383, was read the
second time and discussed and placed on record.,
Motion to Suspend the Requirement to Pass Ordinance on Two Considerations
before Final Passage as stated in Iowa Code Section 380.3 by Havens.
Second by Mahler. Unanimous Aye vote. Motion carried
On the 5th day of April 2016, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiff
Iowa, Councilperson Havens introduced Ordinance No. 2016-383, and moved that it
be given its third and last reading. The motion was seconded by Councilperson
Kahler.
Ayes: Bartels, Upton, Kahler, Havens.
Nays: None
Four members of the Council being present and having voted "Aye", Mayor Steve
Berner declared the motion carried, and the ordinance was passed and adopted.
Whereupon the Mayor declared that Ordinance No. 2016-383 be adopted and
signified his approval of same by fixing his signature thereto. Passed by the Council
on the 5" day of April 2016 and approved by the Mayor on the 5th day of April 2016.

DISTRICTS and known as No. 2016-383 was duly passed by the Council on the 5"
day of April 2016, and signed by the Mayor on the 5`h day of April 2016, and
published on the 14" day of April 2016, by posting copies thereof in three public
places within the limits of the City of Tiffin, Iowa and published in the North Liberty
Leader. That I posted copies of Ordinance No. 2016- 383 in the following places:
The Depot, Tiffin, Iowa
Casey's, Tiffin, Iowa
Solon State Bank, Tiffin, Iowa
