WHEREAS, Chapter 13 of the Government Code, cited as "Weed and Rubbish abatement," _provides for abatement of dry and d weeds that constitute a Public Nuisance; and 'WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City Council of the City of Lynwood by the Director of Public Works /City Engineer that there exists a public nuisance on certain parcels of land in the City of Lynwood, as hereinafter more particularly described: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lynwood, as follows: 1. That said weeds are hereby foundiand declared to be seasonal and recurrent nuisances; 3. That said weeds constitute a public nuisance which must be abated by the removal thereof and that if the same are not removed by the owners of the aforesaid properties, the nuisance will be abated by the City and tYe cost thereof assessed upon said properties and that upon confirmation, such costs will constitute a lien thereon until paid; 4. That the Director of Public Works /City Engineer is hereby directed to cause said notices to be posted in the time, form and manner required by law;I 5. That the proceedings for aforesaid work shall be taken under an Act:,of the Legislature of the!State of California designated as the Government Code, Chapter 13, Section 39501, et seq., cited. as "Weed and Rubbish Abatement ", and amendments thereto. 6. Notice is hereby given that on the 6th day of July, 1982, Tuesday., at the hour of 7:30 P.M: in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, in.the City of Lynwood, any and all persons having any objections or protests to said proposed work may appear before said City Council and show cause why said proposed work should not be carried out in accordance with said Act. 7.
