Consideration Local Requests & Applications-Funding, Special Events, Alcohol License 1 Special Event Consideration, 6th Annual I.C.E. Car Show (October 4): 7am — 3p. Consideration of Bids, Contracts, Agreements and Expenditures 1 To request the City Council approve a FY14 General Fund operating budget amendment of $2,800 into the Indigent Defense budget to cover an increase in the Public Defender's rate that was not budgeted for in this fiscal year. Recommend the City Council move $2,800 from various TIPD line items to the Indigent Defense line item 100-2650-57-1008 2 To request the City Council approve a FY14 General Fund operating budget amendment of $12,000. The Ocean Rescue Department is in need of two (2) new jet skis at a cost of $24,000. One will be included in the budget for the coming FY15. They would like to be able to purchase one now, as they will need to be covered during the busy season prior to July 1, 2014. Recommend that the City Council move $12,000 from various line items to the Ocean Rescue Capital-Vehicles line item 100-6124-54-2200 3 Thomas & Hutton: Change order #1 for the engineering agreement dated April 3, 2012. Change order of $21,000 is due to additional marsh permitting required beyond the scope in the original agreement. This was identified after the wetland delineation and verification stage. The infrastructure committee recommended the change order. Funding for the change order is recommended out of the 2014 SPLOST 4 Transportation Alternative Program (TAP) through the Coastal Regional MPO: Funding for Phase II of the Marsh Hen Trail located north of Hwy 80 traveling west of Battery Row. Total construction cost - $161,453; TAP funding - $129,162.40. Grant requires a letter from the City that identifies the matching funds at time of application, 20% required matching funds - $32,290.60. Propose that the match is funded by 2014 SPLOST. Deadline for grant application is April, 2014. 5 Request for approval to obtain financing through GMA to acquire a $134,522 Emergency 911 System Equipment from AT&T for a 3 year at 2.85% or 5 year term at 3.28%. The acquisition for the new system will occur in the 2014-15 fiscal year in July and August 2014 XIII. Consideration of Approval of Consent Agenda XIV.
