AWARDING BID FOR WATERFRONT PARK
TURF & PLANS' MAINTENANCE PROGRA714
WHEREAS, the Borough has publicly advertised for the receipt of bids for the Waterfront Park
Turf & Plant Maintenance Program on behalf of the Carteret Port Authority; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has solicited and received eight (8) bid proposals for the Waterfront
Park Turf & Plant Maintenance Program:
WHEREAS, D'Onofrio & Sons, has submitted the lowest bid for said contract as evidenced by
the response on file with the Borough's Purchasing Department and with the Borough Engineer;
and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above bid proposals and has recommended
the award of a contract to D'Onofrio & Sons, in a total amount not to exceed $16,315,00; and
WHEREAS, the Carteret Port Authority Treasurer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose.

WHEREAS, D'Onofrio & Sons, has submitted the lowest bid for said contract as evidenced by
the response on file with the Borough's Purchasing Department and with the Borough Engineer;
and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above bid proposals and has recommended
the award of a contract to D'Onofrio & Sons, in a total amount not to exceed $16,315,00; and
WHEREAS, the Carteret Port Authority Treasurer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret as follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter into a
contract with D'Onofrio & Sons, Maplewood, N.J. for the Waterfront Park Turf
& Plant Maintenance Program for the sum of $16,315.00 in accordance in all
respects with the request for proposals and bid on same.
2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing
Department and Borough Engineer and the Carteret Port Authority.
3. That the aforementioned award of bid is contingent upon formal approval from
the New Jersey Department of Labor, Division of Wage and Hour Compliance.
