A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD EXPANDING THE SCOPE OF THE SELF INSURANCE
FUND AND TRANSFERRING THE APPROPRIATIONS TO THIS
FUND FOR FISCAL YEAR 1982 -83.
WHEREAS, on November 6, 1974, the City Council established
an insurance claims trust fund, an independent fiscal and accounting
entity, and
WHEREAS, the purpose for creating said fund was to
facilitate direct payment of employee insurance claims, and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has become self- insured in
liability and certain other risks; and
WHEREAS, there is need to facilitate payment of liability
claims and various other insurance related items,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of

SECTION 1 . That the purpose of the Self Insurance Fund
is the facilitation of direct payments for all insurance claims and
other related insurance payments, and
SECTION 2 . That there will be established within the
Self Insurance Fund, a new division "General City Insurance" to
monitor general City insurance expenditures, and
SECTION 3 . That the City Manager is authorized to make
the following appropriation transfers
