Home My Public Portal About82-163 (10-05-82)r .Y RESOLUTION NO. 82 -163 {H A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD RELATING TO THE DESTRUCTION OF RECORDS WHEREAS, the City Clerk has retained certain records in the lawful execution of her responsibilities which are no longer required; and WHEREAS, Government Code 34090 permits the head of a city department to destroy any city record, document, instrument, book or paper under his /her charge, without making a copy thereof, after the same is no longer required. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD does hereby find, determine, resolve and order as follows: Section 1. The records to be destroyed pursuant to this resolution do not include records, the destruction of which is specifically prohibitied by Government Code 34090, namely: (a) Records affecting the title of real property or liens thereon; (b) Count records; (c) Records required to be kept by statute; (d) Records less than two years old; and (e) The minutes, ordinances, or resolutions of the legis- lative body of the City of Lynwood. Section 2. The written consent of the City Attorney has been obtained prior to the destruction of any and all city records pursuant to this resolu- tion. Section 3.
