A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING AND ORDERING THE REORGANIZATION
OF CERTAIN TERRITORY, DESIGNATED AS "ANNEXATION
NO. 2" TO THE CITY OF LYNWOOD (DETACHMENT FROM
CONSOLIDATED FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT OF LOS
ANGELES COUNTY AND FIRESTONE GARBAGE DISPOSAL
DISTRICT), PURSUANT TO THE DISTRICT REORGANIZA-
TION ACT OF 1965.
. WHEREAS, a petition of application for the proposed reorga-
nization of certain unincorporated territory, identified as "Annexa-
tion No. 2" to the City of Lynwood (Detachment from Consolidated Fire
Protection District and Firestone Garbage Disposal District), was
heretofore filed with the Executive Officer of the Local Agency Forma-
tion Commission pursuant to the District Reorganization Act of 1965
(Division 1(commencing with Section 56000) of Title 6 of the Govern-
ment Code); and
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission on October
13, 1982, approved the reorganization, subject to the condition that
the affected territory also be withdrawn from the Willowbrook Lighting
District, said withdrawal to become effective after completion of this
reorganization and upon such date as the required filings are made;
designated the City Council of the City of Lynwood as the conducting
authority and authorized the City Council to proceed without notice
and hearing pursuant to Government Code Section 56261.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
Section 1 : Preliminary proceedings for reorganization of
the territory described in Exhibit "A," attached hereto and incorpo-
rated herein-,- kiere:commenced by petition of application by Jones ,
Lumber Company, Inc., 10761 South Alameda Street, Lynwood, California
90262, as chief petitioner.
Section 2 : The territory has been determined ,by the Local
Agency Formation Commission to be uninhabited and said territory has
been given the following short term designation: "Annexation No. 2."
Section 3 : As authorized by and in compliance with the Com-
mission's Resolution No. 1982 -137, said reorganization is hereby
approved and ordered without notice and hearing pursuant to Government
Code Section 56261, subject to the condition that the affected
territory is hereby withdrawn from the Willowbrook Lighting District
to become effective after completion of the reorganization and upon
such date as the required filings are made.
Section 4 : The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to file certified copies of this resolution, together with the re-
quired fee, with the Local Agency Formation Commission.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of

(Revised Description)
Beginning at the most westerly corner of Lot 22 in Block A of
Watts Park Tract as shown on map filed in Book 8, page 70 of Maps,
in the office of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, said
corner being an angle point in the boundary of the City of Lynwood
as same existed on September 27, 1982, said corner also being a
point in the boundary of the City of Los Angeles, as same existed
on said date; thence southerly along said last mentioned boundary to
the center line of that certain Alley, 15 feet wide, as shown on
said map lying southerly of and adjoining Lot 11 in Block B of said
tract; thence easterly along said center line and its easterly
prolongation to the center line of Watts Avenue, 40 feet wide, as
shown on said map; thence northerly and westerly along said boundary
of the City of Lynwood to the point of beginning.
