HomeMy Public PortalAbout82-168 (10-19-82)RESOLUTION NO. 82 -168 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING" CHANGE ORDER NO. 3 FOR HES TRAFFIC SIGNAL UPGRADE AND - INTERCONNECT; PROJECT NOS. 5- 5008 -008 & 5- 009 -009, AND APPROVING FUNDS FOR SAID CHANGE ORDER. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood continually intends to improve public safety, and WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood.entered into a contract with Steiny and Company, Inc., on May 18, 1982, for the improve- ment of mastarm, left turn and pedestrian signals, and traffic signals, and WHEREAS, traffic through the intersections of Imperial Highway and Century Blvd., and Imperial Highway and Long Beach Blvd., is expected to increase due to increased development in the vicinity and a change order is needed to provide left turn phasing for northbound and southbound traffic at said inter- sections, and WHEREAS, said change order is expected to cost approxi- mately $40,000, thus making the new contract total $955,630, and WHEREAS, the $40,000 needed to implement this change order will be obtained by transferring money from the Atlantic Avenue at Century Blvd. Improvement Project (CIP FY1982 -83); and WHEREAS, the City Council has studied this appropriation and its budget implications, and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lynwood that: SECTION 1. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to make the following transfer to provide for the necessary funds. FROM TO AMOUNT 5 -5010 -0010 5- 5008 -008 $40,000 TOTAL $40,000 SECTION 2.'
