RESOLUTION NO. 82-184
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT
OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD GENERAL PLAN, DESIGNATING
LOTS 1,3,5,7,9 AND 11, BLOCK B OF THE WATTS PARK
TRACT, COMMONLY KNOWN AS 10761 ALAMEDA STREET, LYNWOOD,
AS "INDUSTRIAL ".
WHEREAS, on November 9, 1982, the Planning Commission
did, after public notification pursuant to law, hold a public hearing
on the proposed amendment and adopted Resolution No. 897 recommend-
ing Council approval of said amendment;
WHEREAS, the Planning Division has determined that the
proposed amendment will have no significant effect upon the environ-
ment, and a Negative Declaration has been filed;
WHEREAS, the Land Use Element of the General Plan details
seven (7) basic land use designations within the City as illustrated
on its General Plan Map;
WHEREAS, staff and the Planning Commission have recommended
that the subject property, which was annexed to the City on October 13,
1982, be designated as "Industrial" on the General Plan Map so that it
conforms to existing and proposed land use and to zoning in the sur-
rounding area;
The City Council of the City of Lynwood DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1 . The City Council hereby finds and concludes
- - that — the-proposed amendment to the-Land Use Element of the General
Plan would be appropriate in the manner and location proposed and
would not be injurious to the City or surrounding properties.
SECTION 2 . The City Council hereby recommends adoption
of an amendment to the General Plan Map found within the Land Use
Element of the City of Lynwood General Plan for the property de-
scribed above. Said property will hereby be designated "Industrial"
on the General Plan Map.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of December, 1982, by
members of the City Council.
