RESOLUTION NO. 83 -6
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD REGARDING THE DEVELOPMENT OF PUBLIC
WORKS PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED WITH REPROGRAMMED
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS.'
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood desires to implement
three public works projects including:
1. Off -site improvements for the property located at'
3000 E. Imperial Highway now occupied by K and
K Office Furniture to include the items shown on
the attached memorandum from the Director of Public
Works; and
2. Improvement of six tennis courts located in Lyn-
wood City Park to include,such items as resur-
facing, new nets, net supports, benches and an
improved energy efficient lighting system; and
3. Development and rehabilitation of total lot play
areas in the City park to include such items as
leveling, addition of sand, new play equipment,
benches and rest areas; and
WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant funds from
prior years are available for reprogramming; and
WHEREAS, each project represents an eligible.expendi-
ture of Community Development Block funds; and
WHEREAS, each project is Categorically Exempt from
the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act.
- - - -` - NOW, - it is hereby resolved by the City
Council of the City of Lynwood that:
SECTION 1: Staff be authorized to prepare any
forms and documentation required by the County 9f Los Angeles
and the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development.
SECTION 2: The Mayor, City Manager, Community
Development Director be authorized to sign the required,forms.
