A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROPRIATING THE REQUIRED FUNDS FOR THE
TRAFFIC SIGNAL TIMING AND OPTIMIZATION FOR FUEL
EFFICIENCY PROJECT

WHEREAS, funds have been established and are made
available through the California Energy Commission for grants
to local governments for efficient traffic signal management
projects; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 82 -173 of the City Council
of the City of Lynwood authorized application for said funds
and authorized the City Manager and /or Director of Public Works/
City Engineer, to execute; in the name of the City, all necessary
applications and agreements for the funds, and
WHEREAS, the California Energy Commission.approved the
grant application on December 1, 1982, for $32,370 to time thirty
signalized intersections within the City; and

WHEREAS., this project will be only 50% completed by the
end of fiscal year 1982 -83, a request is made for only one -half of
the required funds, or $16,185.00, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has studied this project and
this appropriation and its budget implications.
NOW, THEREFORE,;the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Manager is authorized to make
the following appropriations and estimated revenues:

and Optimization $16,185
Section 2 . That the City Manager is authorized to make
the following transfers for the purpose of funding the Traffic
Signal Timing and Optimization Project as the funding is needed:

Section 3. This resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of
January 1983.
