HomeMy Public PortalAbout83-007 (01-18-83)RESOLUTION NO. 83 -7 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROPRIATING THE REQUIRED FUNDS FOR THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL TIMING AND OPTIMIZATION FOR FUEL EFFICIENCY PROJECT i WHEREAS, funds have been established and are made available through the California Energy Commission for grants to local governments for efficient traffic signal management projects; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 82 -173 of the City Council of the City of Lynwood authorized application for said funds and authorized the City Manager and /or Director of Public Works/ City Engineer, to execute; in the name of the City, all necessary applications and agreements for the funds, and WHEREAS, the California Energy Commission.approved the grant application on December 1, 1982, for $32,370 to time thirty signalized intersections within the City; and i WHEREAS., this project will be only 50% completed by the end of fiscal year 1982 -83, a request is made for only one -half of the required funds, or $16,185.00, and WHEREAS, the City Council has studied this project and this appropriation and its budget implications. NOW, THEREFORE,;the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows: Section 1. That the City Manager is authorized to make the following appropriations and estimated revenues: FROM TO I 40 -30515 State Grants $16',1$5 California Energy Commission $16;185 (Revenue) Grant Fund Balance C.I.P. Fund Balance $16,185 5- 5024 -0024 Traffic Signal Timing and Optimization $16,185 Section 2 . That the City Manager is authorized to make the following transfers for the purpose of funding the Traffic Signal Timing and Optimization Project as the funding is needed: FROM TO California Energy Commission Grants $16,185 Capital Improvement Projects $16,185 Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of January 1983. OUIS A.
