AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF
GULF STREANI AMENDING CHAPTER 3 OF THE
TOWN CODE AT SECTION 3 -1, ITEM (b)
RELATING TO DOMESTIC ANIMALS RUNNING AT
LARGE; AMENDING THE DEFINITION OF AT
LARGE; PROVIDING THAT THIS IS AN
E2,1ERGENCY ORDINANCE; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COMMISSION OF THE T(X N OF GOZF STREAM, FLORIDA as
follows:
Chapter 3, Section 3 -1 of the Code of Ordinances of the
Town of Gulf Stream is hereby amended at Section (b) to read as follows:
"(b) "At Large" shall mean off the premises of the owner unless accompanied
by an attendant who shall have such domestic animal firmly held by collar
and leash or other use of mechanical restraint which leash is not to
exceed eight (8) feet in length."
All other portion of section 3 -1 and Chapter 3 shall remain intact.
Section 2 - Severably-
In the event any section of this Ordinance is deemed to be unlawful, said
finding shall not effect the validity of other sections of said Chapter or
the Chapter as a whole.
Section 3 - THIS ORDINANCE IS EFFECTIVE ON FIRST READING
AS AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE this 9th DAY OF JANUARY, 1987.
