A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION
FOR PERMIT TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES FOR DESTRUCTION
OF WELL NO. 10 AND CONSTRUCTION OF WELL
NO. 20.
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood and the State of California
Department of Transportation, have heretofore entered into a Freeway
Agreement on November 17, 1982, for the construction of the Route 7
Freeway between the Paramount City limits at Summerdale Street and the
South Gate City limits at Imperial Highway and the Route I -105 Freeway
between the City limits at Mona Boulevard and the City limits near
Route 7, and
WHEREAS, Water Well No. 10, located at 4150 Fernwood Road,
must be destructed to clear the land necessary for the construction
of the Harris Avenue Undercrossing for the I -105 Freeway, and
WHEREAS, construction of a new Well No. 20, at 11720 Thorson
Avenue is needed to replace Well No. 10.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1 . Pursuant and subject to all of the terms,
conditions and provisions of Division 5, Part 1, Chapter 7, Sections
4010 to 4035 of California Health and Safety Code and all amendments
thereto, relating to domestic water supplies, application by the City
to be made to the State of California Department of Health Services
for a permit to destruct Well No. 10 and construct Well No -. 20.
SECTION 2 . The Director of Public Works /City Engineer of
the City of Lynwood be, and he is, authorized and directed to cause
the necessary data to be prepared, and investigation to be made, and
in the name of said City to sign and file such application with the said
State of California Department of Health Services.
SECTION 3 . This resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its adoption.
