A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND
USE ELEMENT OF THE LYNWOOD GENERAL PLAN.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood did,
after public notification pursuant to law, hold a public hearing on
the proposed amendment,
WHEREAS, the City Council has carefully considered all per-
tinent testimony offered at the public hearing,
WHEREAS, the Community Development Director has determined
that the proposed amendment will have no significant effect upon the
environment and has issued a Negative Declaration,
WHEREAS, the Community Development Department staff has
recommended that the General Plan be amended so that it more closely
conforms to existing zoning and existing and proposed future land use.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows
Section 1 . The proposed amendment to the Land Use Element
of the General Plan would be appropriate in the manner and location
proposed and would not be injurious to the City or surrounding proper-
ties.
Section 2 . The City Council hereby adopts an amendment to the
Land Use Map found within the Land Use Element of the General Plan
of the City of Lynwood for the area shown on attached Exhibit A. Said
area shall be redesignated from "Single- family Residential" to "Town
House and Cluster Housing ".
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of July, 1983.
