RESOLUTION NO. 83 -89
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE
APPROPRIATION OF TWO THOUSAND FIVE
HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2,500) FROM THE
PROPOSITION "A" - LOCAL RETURN FUNDS FOR
THE CITY'S SHARE OF THE COUNTY'S COST
OF A TRANSIT NEEDS STUDY.
WHEREAS, Proposition " A " was approved by the voters
on November 4, 1980, which provides for an increase in sales tax in
Los Angeles County by one -half - _cent (2,) to provide a comprehensive
transit program in the County of Los Angeles; and
WHEREAS, the Southern California Rapid Transit
District is willing to conduct a transit needs study to identify areas
of possible service improvements and its related costs within the Second
Supervisorial District of Los Angeles County, including the cities within
the Supervisorial District providing the local agencies finance the
study; and
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles proposes to enter
into an agreement with Southern California Rapid Transit District to
fund this study in a total amount of $39,000 with the understanding that
certain cities will partly reimburse the County with Proposition "A"
funds; and
.WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood did,
on the fifth day of July, 1983, adopt Resolution No. 83 -90 agreeing
to contribute $2,500 of its Proposition " A " Local Return Funds to the
County as its share of the study costs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . The City Council hereby authorizes the
City Manager to make the following appropriations:

SECTION 2. The City Council hereby authorizes the
City Manager to make the following appropriations:

Proposition "A" Fund $2,500 Transportation $2,500

SECTION 3 . This resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its passage,`.
