A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
FINDING THAT THE EMERGENCY REPAIR OF THE MWD- MIDDLE CROSS
FEEDER CAN BE MORE ECONOMICALLY AND EFFICIENTLY EFFECTED
THROUGH THE 3- QUOTATION INFORMAL BID PROCEDURE.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1084 provides that contracts for
Public Works Porjects in the amounts of $5000 or more be contracted
for and let to the lowest responsible bidder after notice, all as
provided for in the Government Code, unless the City Council, by
resolution passed by a four - fifths vote of its members, determines
that such an acquisition may be more economically and efficiently
effected through the use of an alternate procedure; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the emergency repair
of the MWD- MIDDLE CROSS FEEDER can be more economically and efficiently
effected through the 3- Quotation Informal Bid Procedure; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to have the MWD- MIDDLE
CROSS FEEDER repaired expeditiously in order to meet the City's water
demands during the ensuing peak water use season.
NOW, - - THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. The emergency repair of the MWD- MIDDLE CROSS
FEEDER can be more economically and efficiently effected through the
3- Quotation Informal Bid Procedure.
Sectio 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.
