RESOLUTION NO. 83 -106
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING STAFF TO RESPOND TO A REQUEST
FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE CALI-
FORNIA HOUSING ADVISORY SERVICE PROGRAM AND AUTHOR_-
IZING THE MAYOR /CITY MANAGER TO SIGN ANY REQUIRED
DOCUMENTATION.
WHEREAS, the State Department of Housing and Community
Development is accepting proposals for participation in its Cali-
fornia Housing Advisory Service Program; and
WHEREAS, through the Program, grants are awarded to
eligible public and private sponsors to counsel and aid owner -
builders; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends submittal of a response
to the REP for a grant in the amount of $25,000.00 in order to
assist owner - builders in the City of Lynwood.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Lynwood hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. The staff of the Community Development
Department is authorized to respond to the Request for Proposals
prepared by the State, Department of Housing and Community
Development, for participation in the California Housing Advisory
Service Program.
Section 2. The Mayor /City Manager is authorized to
sign any documentation required as part of the response to the
RFP.
PASSED, AP.ROVED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of
AUGUST 1983.
