A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF CALTRANS SERVICE CONTRACT #07A157
FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONTINUING THE SPECIAL I -105 CORRIDOR
SECURITY PATROL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFORE
WHEREAS, on September 4, 1979, the City Council authorized execution
of a,-Service Contract with the California State Department of Transportation
in order to provide a special security patrol in the I -105 Corridor in the
City of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, on June 30, 1983, the City's contract with the State of
California Department of Transportation for the continuance of the special
security patrol expired; and
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department has determined
that it is vital to the security needs of Lynwood corridor residents to main-
tain the present level of protection offered by the special patrol; and
WHEREAS, on June 30, 1983, the City Council authorized the staff to
negotiate an agreement to resume the corridor patrol.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of

= SECTION 1. City Council does hereby accept Service Contract #07A157 in
order to continue a special security patrol in the I -105
Corridor in the City of Lynwood.
SECTION 2. Authorizing the City Manager to make the following estimated
revenues and appropriations:
1 -30508 Corridor General Fund
Patrol: $450,000 Fund Balance: $450,000
General Fund
Fund Balance: $450,000
