A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD REGARDING THE DEVELOPMENT OF A
COMMUNITY FACILITIES REHABILITATION PROJECT
TO BE FUNDED WITH REPROGRAMMED JOBS BILL FUNDS
WHEREAS, the total cost of $41,879 was previously
allocated to Jobs Bill Demolition Project JB 389 and;
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the salvage value
of the buildings slated for demolition exceeds the previously
estimated cost of said demolition; and
WHEREAS, this determination eliminates the need for
funding JB 389, thereby freeing Jobs Bill funds to be used for
other eligible activities; and
WHEREAS, previously approved CDBG and UPARR funds
totalling $195,000 are insufficient to effect the necessary
improvements to the current Community Center Rehabilitation
Project; and
WHEREAS, the Community Center Rehabilitation Project
represents an eligible expenditure of Jobs Bill funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as
Section 1 . Staff be authorized to prepare the necessary
forms and documentation required by the County of Los Angeles and
the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development to transfer
- - -- funds -from Project JB 389 to-be used for the rehabilitation of
Community Facilities. ,
Section 2 . The Mayor, City Manager, or Community
Development Director be authorized to sign any required forms
to implement the Project.

1983.
