A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE
COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE,
FLORIDA, APPROVING A CHANGE ORDER TO THE
AGREEMENT WITH W.D. THOMPSON, INC. DIBIA
BEACH RAKER FOR BEACH CLEANING,
MAINTENANCEO AND BEAUTIFICATION SERVICES;
PROVIDING FOR AUTHORIZATION; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on June 24, 2014, the Village of Key Biscayne (the "Village") adopted
Resolution No. 2014-21 approving an agreement with W.D. Thompson, Inc. dlbla Beach Raker
("Beach Raker") to provide beach cleaning, maintenance, and beautification services
("Services"); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council desires to improve the level of service and finds that a
change order consisting of additional daily and weekly Services as further described in Exhibit
"4" (the "Change Order") is necessary; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council desires to approve the Change Order in order to
increase the frequency of Services and authorize the Village Manager to execute the same; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that this Resolution is in the best interest and
welfare of the residents of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE
COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1,.Recitals Adopted. That each of the above-stated recitals are hereby
adopted, confirmed, and incorporated herein.
Section 2. Change Qrfler Approved. That the Village Council hereby approves the
Change Order attached hereto as Exhibit "A."
Section 3. Authorization. That the Village Manager is hereby authorized to execute
the Change Order attached hereto as Exhibit ooA" and take any and all action necessary to
implement the purposes of this Resolution.
Section 4. Effective Date. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
adoption.
