A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH ROGERS CABLE -
SYSTEMS TO PROVIDE PUBLIC ACCESS COORDINATOR
SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood, in conjunction with the
Cities of Bell Gardens, Downey, Paramount and Santa Fe Springs
7 (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Cities ") have each
previously granted a non - exclusive Cable Communications Franchise
to Rogers Cablesystems (hereinafter referred to as "Contractor ");
and
WHEREAS, Cities negotiated for and obtained the ability
to provide public access programming; and
WHEREAS, Cities desire to contract for Coordinator
Services for the use of system -wide equipment and studios; and
WHEREAS, Contractor is experienced in providing such
services; and
WHEREAS, the Cities agree to jointly cooperate with
Contractor for the cost of Access Coordinator Services in accord-
ance with the terms of the Services Agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
hereby resolves:
Section 1 . The Agreement between Cities Contractor
for Access Coordinator Services is hereby approved.
Section 2 . The Mayor is authorized to execute said
Agreement.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this
DECEMBER , 1983.
