HomeMy Public PortalAbout82-142 (09-07-82)I RESOLUTION NO. 82 -142 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD SETTING FORTH THE SALARIES BY CLASSIFICATION OF ITS OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES. WHEREAS, negotiations with employee associations have been concluded and the City Council of the City of Lynwood has adopted Comprehensive Memoranda of Understanding; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has adopted Comprehensive Memoranda of Understanding with the City Manager and the City Clerk; and WHEREAS, on June 29, 1982, the City Council of the City of Lynwood gave official recognition to the on -going nature of negotiations, and that certain of the negotiated results might be retroactively applied; and WHEREAS, the conclusion of negotiations necessitate the adoption of revised salary schedules; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby resolve as follows: Section 1: That Resolution No. 62 -43 of the City of Lynwood, adopted on the 3rd day of July, 1962, prescribes the time and method of paying salaries and wages of the officers and employees of said City, as requir- ed by Section 37106 of the Government Code of the State of California. Section 2: That the salaries and wages for officers and em- ployees for the various classifications falling within the schedules are attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 3: That the rates oti the Special Assignment Compen- sation Schedule (Exhibit D) for the following assignments are retroactive to the first full pay period in July: t Street, Parks and Water Standby; Street, Park and Water Holiday Standby; Clerical Pool Leadperson; Public Works Leadman; Parks Leadman; Sweeper Operator (full- time). Section 4: That the salary specified for. the City Manager on the Elected and Appointed Schedule (Exhibit E) is retroactive to July 1,__1982. -, Section 5: That all wage and benefit provisions of the Compre- hensive Memoranda of Understanding between the City of Lynwood and Employee Associations, the City Manager and the City Clerk, as adopted on August 17, 1982, are made a part of this Resolution. (Page 1 of 2) r� Section 6: That this Resolution and all attached Exhibits (A through F) shall be amended as required by provisions of Comprehensive Memoranda of Under- standing adopted on August 17, 1982, or as the need arises. Section 7: That if any provision of adopted Comprehensive Memoranda of Understanding, or this Resolution, is at any time or in any way held to be contrary to any law by any court of proper jurisdiction, the remainder of the Memoranda and the remainder of this Resolution shall not be affected thereby and shall remain in full force and effect. Section 8: That this Resolution shall take effect immediate- ly upon adoption, and that Resolution No. 81 -86 is hereby repealed. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7th day of September 1982. LOUIS A.
