Home My Public Portal About82-145 (09-21-82)RESOLUTION NO. 82 -145 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD RELATING TO THE DESTRUCTION OF RECORDS WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has retained certain records which are no longer required, and WHEREAS, Government Codes 34090 permits the head of a city department to destroy anv city record, document, instrument, book or paper under his charge, without making a copy thereof, after the same is no longer required; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS. SECTION 1 . The records to be destroyed pursuant to this resolution do not include records, the destruction of which, is specifically prohibited by Government Code s 34090, namely. (a) Records affecting the title to real property or liens thereon, (b) Court records; (c) Records required to be kept by statue; (d) Records less than two years old; (e) The minutes, ordinances, or resolutions of the legislative body of the City of Lynwood. SECTION 2 ., The consent of the City Attorney has been obtained prior to the destruction of any and all city records pursuant to this resolution. SECTION 3 .
