A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AMENDING RESOLUTION 140. 81 -164 (FEE SCHEDULE) TO INCLUDE
THE PRORATION OF FEE FOR DOG LICENSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council endeavors to eliminate the growing number
of unlicensed dogs in the City by making it easier for dog owners to secure
licenses; and
- ~ - WHEREAS; paying "total" unprorated' license fee-by many residents -
has created a financial hardship; and
WHEREAS, the prorated fees would influence residents, who become dog
owners in the third or fourth quarter of the licensing year, to purchase licenses
prior to the new licensing year.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
resolve as follows:
Section 1. The Fee Schedule (Resolution No. 81 -164) be amended to
reflect the proration of dog license fees in accordance with the following formula:
Proration of Dog License Fees
a. Purchased September 1 - November 31 - - - -- 75% of annual rate
b. Purchased December 1 - February 28 - - - -- 50% of annual rate
c. Purchased March 1 - May 31 - - - -- 25% of annual rate
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately.
