Noah,
I come up with 1216 cy of excavation to allow us enough room for the footings and room to
work. The amount of soil that the pit displaces is 600 cy. The 600 cy's of soil displaced by the
pit is what we anticipated using on-site for fill material & has a dollar value to us of
$11,100.00. So best case is all we will need to replace with off-site fill is the material the pit
displaces but if the material we excavate outside of the pit walls is unsuitable & we have to
purchase fill to backfill that will be a additional $18.50 per cubic yard.
