HomeMy Public PortalAboutLib 2011 Jan programing January 2011 Programming: ONGOING PROGRAMS:  Children’s Story Time ~ every Thursday 10.30 a.m. Ages 3-5 (with adult): Preschool fun and social time!  Story Stop ~ every Wednesday 10:30 – 10:50 a.m. A streamlined story time for children ages 0-3 (with adult).  Spanish Conversation for adults ~Thursdays 5:30-7 p.m., Free. Drop-in format, all levels.  The Great Books Club ~ every last Thursday in the month 10-12 a.m. (Call 634 4276 for more info). SPECIAL EVENTS:  Cello Story time ~ Thurs. Jan 13th 10:30 a.m.; experiment with children size cello; meet Dr.Bill Wharton, experienced Suzuki method instructor  Ecuador Slideshow ~ High School teacher Ted McManus presents an overview of the Andes Mountains, the city of Quito, and the Galapagos Islands. Free, January 10, 7:00 pm.  Travelogue series ~ Czech Republic Uncovered; Thurs. Jan 20th at 7PM.  LTAI ~ First program January 18th ; 7 p.m. Register at the library to pick up your books for this adult series.  Preschoolers Party ~ Come meet Curious George and get ready for the Winter Carnival! Sat. Jan 22nd 10.30-noon.  Parade with Curious George ~ preschool age children are invited to join George in this year’s winter carnival parade  Used Books Sale ~Friends of the Library offer the best deal in town!
