HomeMy Public PortalAbout20130605 admin minutesCITY COUNCIL ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES June 5, 2013 ATTENDEES- Council- Carrie Carroll, Jim Branch, Larry Henry, Ken Hussey, Rick Mihalevich; Staff- Drew Hilpert, Janice McMillan, Gail Strope, Dave Grellner, Britt Smith, Carla Trower; News Tribune- Madeleine Leroux. Meeting came to order at 8:01 a.m., the minutes were approved with a motion by Branch and a second by Henry. ORDINANCE AMENDING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR SIDEWALK CAFÉ PERMITS : Presented by Drew Hilpert. Rob Agee said additional insured would just add the City to every case. Carroll and Hilpert gave a brief overview for the new members. Mihalevich and Prather said the cost to businesses for additional insured would be $50-$100. Mihalevich and Carroll recommended taking out the clause regarding adding the City as additional insured. Trash receptacle requirements were discussed . Trash receptacles will be required unless an alternative plan is approved by the City. A motion was made by Henry to send to the Council and a second by Branch, passed unanimously. APPOINTMENT REVIEW: Presented by Gail Strope. The committee reviewed the recommendations by Mayor Eric Struemph. A motion was made by Hussey to approve the following persons for recommendation to the full Council and second by Henry, passed unanimously.  Airport Advisory Jason Thurnau  Historic Preservation Mary Schantz, partial  CVB Dale Gerstner, partial PUBLIC COMMENTS: None. NEW BUSINESS: Henry gave an update regarding JCTV. A motion was made by Henry to adjourn the meeting and seconded by Branch. Motion was approved. Meeting was adjourned at 8:32 a.m. Due to the holiday, the next meeting is set for the 2nd Wednesday in July; July 10th at 8 a.m. in the Boone/Bancroft Room at City Hall.
