HomeMy Public PortalAboutMinutes - 7/13/1970��9�� The Wellsburg Town Council met in special session on July 13, 1970, with Mayor Ross presiding ��r..��d Councilmen Claassen, Hippen, Huisman, and Van Deest in attendance. The counc��.l met with representatives of the fire department concerning a swimming pool for the town of Wellsburg. No action was taken at this time pending further information and legality of the proposal. There being no further business, the meeting stood adjourned. ����G%-G�� �� Mayor Clerk The Wellsburg Town Council met in special session on July 27, 1970, with Mayor Ross presiding and all councilmen in attendance. On a motion by Van Deest, seconded by Hippen, the firemen were authorized to form a non-profit corporation for the purpose of collecting donations for a swimming pool for the.town of Wellsburg subject to the approval of the city attorney. On roll call of councilmen the votes were� Ayes: Van Deest, Huisman, Hippen, Eckhoff, Claassen Nays: None. On a motior��y Huisman, seconded by Van Deest, the clerk was instructed to transfer $4,044.00 from the Sanitation Fund to the newly created Sewer Rental Fund subject to the approval of the State Comptroller. Carried. The 197��p Proposed ��i'zdget Estimate was presented to the council and was approved on a motion by Claassen and seconded by Van Deest. Carried. There being no further business, Claassen made a motion for adjournment. After a second by Huisman, the meeting stood ad- journed. ���� ������ Mayor er The Wellsburg Town Council met in reg(zlar session on August 10, 1970, with Mayor Ross presiding and Councilmen Huisman, Hippen, Eckhoff, and Claassen present. On a motion by Claassen, seconded by Huisman, the minutes of the regular meeting on July 6 and special meetings on July 13 and July 27 were approved. Following a motion by Claassen, seconded by Huisman, the treas- urer's report was accepted as read.
