HomeMy Public PortalAboutMOU- City of Crestview and Eden of CrestviewMEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING September 11, 2017 Subject: Redstone Avenue West Widening City of Crestview & Eden of Crestview ALF Based upon the meeting held on September 7, 2017 between representatives of Senior Care Investments, LLC (Developer) and the City of Crestview Department of Public Services (City), this Memorandum of Understanding in reference to the Redstone Avenue West Widening project has been provided with the following acknowledgements: • Whereas, the STS Traffic Operational Analysis dated 07/19/17 indicates a 16' increase in the Redstone Avenue West Eastbound Turn Lane Queue Length due to the projected PM Peak Hour Trips generated by the Eden of Crestview ALF project. • Whereas, Comment 15c of the Crestview City Engineer Site Plans Review Memo dated 08/22/17 states "The Developer will be expected to participate in the cost or the work of the widening of Redstone Avenue, to accommodate the longer left turn late at SR 85, and striping of the lanes to the extent needed". • Whereas, the City of Crestview stated their intent to design and construct an extension of the Redstone Avenue West Eastbound Turn Lane. • Whereas, the City of Crestview requested the developer provide the striping associated with the Redstone Avenue West Eastbound Turn Lane project. The developer would be required to directly subcontract the striping work, but it could be done in conjunction with the striping of the Eden of Crestview ALF project if the projects schedules can be coordinated. • Whereas, the City of Crestview estimates the scope of the striping to be from the SR 85 and Redstone Avenue West intersection west approximately 480' along Redstone Avenue West. The City of Crestview estimates the cost of the striping to be approximately $6,600.00. In due consideration of the above acknowledgements, the developer agrees to provide the striping associated with the Redstone Avenue West Eastbound Turn Lane project.
