COUNCIL MINUTES
SPECIAL MEETING - MARCH I. 2004
A Special Meeting of the Bal Harbour Village Council was held on Wednesday, March 3,
2004, in the Council Chambers, at Bal Harbour Village Hail. The meeting was called to
order at 9:02 a.m. by Mayor Tantleff. Those present were:

Councilman Howard J. Berlin
Alfred J. Treppeda, Village Manager
Jeanette Horton, Village Clerk
Eilisa Horvath, Deputy Village Clerk
Mickey Marrero, Village Attorney
Absent: Councilman Peg E. Gorson
Councilman Joel S. Jacobi
As a quorum was determined to be present, the meeting commenced.
4. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Pledge of Allegiance was not done.
3. REQUEST FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION — VILLAGE ATTORNEY: Mr.
Marrero requested an Executive Session, pursuant to 286.011 Florida Statute, to advise
the Council on the matter of Bal Harbour Village versus Edward Law. The Council
discussed holding the Executive Session either before or after the next regular Council
meeting. Mr. Treppeda will contact the Council, if the meeting needs to be scheduled
before the date of the regular Council meeting, due to a court hearing. Mr. Marrero will
check with Village Attorney Edward Guedes and will advise the Village Manager on that.
It was the consensus of the Council to have the Executive Session before the regular March
Council meeting, at 8:30 a.m.
4. ADJOURNS There being no further business to come before the Council, a_
motion was offered by Assistant Mayor Roth and seconded by Councilman Berlin to adjourn. The
motion carried unanimously (3-0), with Councilman Gorson and Councilman, Jacobi absent, and
the meeting adjourned at 9:05 a.m.
