AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON ,
MISSOURI, REGARDING THE CONNECTION FEE PAID BY ENTITIES
CONNECTING TO THE SANITARY SEWER.
WHEREAS, the connection charge has not been amended in many years and
actual costs to provide for growth exceed the current charge; and
WHEREAS, the connection fee is to be evaluated annually.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 29 (Sewers and Sewage Disposal) Sec. 29-131
(Connection and Extension Charges) is amended as follows:
Sec. 29-131. Connection and extension charges.
A. Co nn ect ion Charges. In add iti on to any other c harges a sewer co nn ect ion charge in the amount
oftffiee four hundred doll ars ($300.00) ($4 00.00) is hereby levi ed against a ny person connect in g,
or cau s ing to be connected , a private se wer latera l to a public sewe r: at any tin'le subsequ ent to July

Section ~-Appendix Y (Schedule of Administrative Fees, Permits ,
Licenses and Other Charges) is amended by the addition of following:
Sec ti on Sect ion Titl e Fee
131 (A) Connection Charges $400.00
Section 3 . This ordinance shall become effective from and after the date of
its passage and approval.
