A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING
THE PURCHASE ORDER CONTRACT WITH DUTHIE POWER SERVICES IN THE
AMOUNT OF $30,390.87 FOR THE PURCHASE OF EMERGENCY GENERATORS
FOR WATER WELL NO.'S 8, 9, 11, AND 19, PROJECT NUMBER 4011.67.901,
WHEREAS, the purchase of emergency generators for Water Well No.'s 8, 9,
11, and 19 is part of Project No 4011 67 901, and
WHEREAS, on November 2, 2010, the City Council' awarded the purchase
contract of said generators to Duthie Power Services for $245,324 18; and
WHEREAS, the permit process required by the South Coast Air Quality
Management District has substantially delayed the ordering of these generators, which
has resulted in a manufacturer's cost increase, and
WHEREAS, the purchase order for these generators needs to include the use
tax of 8.75 %.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the purchase order contract for the purchase of emergency
generators for Water Well No 's 8, 9, 11, and 19, Project No. 4011 67 901 be amended
with $30,390 87 ' I
Section 2. , This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
