A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE RELEASE OF A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE
WATER AND SEWER RATES STUDY AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
OR DESIGNEE TO MAKE THE NECESSARY FUNDS APPROPRIATION AND
TRANSFER TO COVER THE STUDY COST
WHEREAS, in July 2011, the City implemented the last water and sewer rates
increase as part of the five =year water and sewer rates management plan; and
WHEREAS, in order to keep pace with the increasing cost of producing and
importing water and improving the water and sewer systems readiness to serve; the City
needs to again review the rates for these utilities through a rates study; and
WHEREAS, the rate study needs to be prepared by an outside consulting firm
specializing in this area, and
WHEREAS, this study is estimated to cost $50,000' and staff has identified
available funds to pay for this service.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood approves the issuance
of a Request for Proposals for consulting services to prepare the water and sewer rates
study
Section 2. That the City Manager or designee is authorized to make the
following funds appropriation and transfer

Section 3. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
