Council met in regular session, F;layor Vahlsing presiding,
Councilmen present- Boeke- Heddens - Hook- Junker.
�2inutes of June meetings were read and on motion by Hook, second
by Heddens, approved as read.
Treasurers report wa.s received, read and. ordered placed on file.
Committees report on obtaining watermains, was heard and report
accepted.

Special Mteting.-
Mayor Vahlsing called a special meeting of
the c��uncil to
consider the purchase of $ �Yater softner.

and explained the merits of their Softener,
and demonstrated
their method of sof tening water.
After due consideration, it vas moved
that we adjourn to
July 18th and give the matter further attention.

The council had. under consideration the purchase of a tiVater-
Softener plant for the removal of hardness and rust from the
municipal water, and. there was present at said meeting R4.H.
Anderson representing the General Filter Co of Ames Iowa.
r�.'here was then offered the following resolution, which wa.s
read by the Clerk:
Whereas, the council of the incorporated .�4unicipality of
Wellsburg, Io���a, has concluded to add to the existing water-
works system an improvement d.esi�ned as a "Vater-softner for the
purpose of removing hardness and rust from the water supplied
by the existing water system nog*r being oner�-ted by said To��m,
and
tYNEREAS, pursuant to negotiations with the General Filter Co
of Ames Io;�ra, said cotancil has agreed with said Company �.vith
reference to the installation of sucha a plant, and,
�V1�ERFAS the said eneral Filter Co, of Ames lo�.va has executes'
and tendered to the Town a contract providir_g for the furnishim_
of said. equiptment on terms satisfactory to said. To1im which
