The original patch done last fall was due to a water main leak and it sunk. Working with ITD for contribution. Ongoing  Streets Brushing Continued brushing along roadways as time allows between major projects. Ongoing  Streets Customer Service Address complaints surrounding driveway culverts, ditches and overall road conditions. All complaints are addressed after the area’s are personally inspected. Updated/Ongoing  Streets Emergency Call-ins Received 3 emergency call outs during the month, one due to missing stop sign, and twice to reset the traffic light at 3rd & Deinhard. Updated/Ongoing  Streets Inspections Assisting City Engineer with site inspection on any new construction projects that are located in our right of ways. Ongoing  Streets Road Maintenance Continued grading, watering and applying dust oil as needed to roadways. Repairs of road shoulder and drainages continue. Ongoing  Collection/Distribution Hydro Cleaning Crew has cleaned all sewer lines west of the river and will start repairs to manholes that were found to need it. New  Collection/Distribution Lift Station 9 Lost motor controller. A.M.E. contractor will be onsite to check out or replace. New  Collection/Distribution Line Replacement Crew replaced three sections of water lines during the month (1515 Louisa, Idaho St., and 305 West Lake). New  Collection/Distribution Manhole/water valve/meter pit maintenance Crew replaced two (2) water valves & meter pits, and repaired 2 manholes that were damaged this winter. New/Ongoing  Collection/Distribution Misc. Issues Crew pulled pump motors at LS #4 due to blockage caused by plastics and other items. New/Completed  Collection/Distribution Sewer Blockage Crew cleaned out sewer line blockage in the Rio Vista subdivision. The blockages are being caused by roots intruding into our lines and are scheduled to be cleaned out by Pipeline Services next week. New/Ongoing  Collection/Distribution Hydro Cleaning Crew continues to flush Park Street sewer line until line can be replaced. Currently this is being performed weekly to prevent back- ups. Also, cleaning all known slow or trouble lines. Ongoing  Collection/Distribution I & I In correlation with the manhole inspections the crews are noting extensive I & I. At this time it appears to be coming from homeowner’s sump pumps used to lower crawl space water levels, which is then being pumped directly into our sewer lines. This covers about 25 different homes in the water system. The sampling is required by DEQ/EPA every three years. New/ongoing  Water Treatment Computer system The new motor control center screen is ordered. Project should be completed by mid August. This system monitors about 15 major pumps & motors.
