MINUTES
mLLSBOROUGH TOWN BOARD
November 12, 1996
7:15 PM, Town Office Complex
The Hillsborough Town Board met in Closed Session on November 12, 1996 in
the Town Office Complex for the purpose of giving instructions to the Town Manager/Attorney
regarding a claim. Present for the Closed Session were Mayor Horace H. Johnson, Sr.,
Commissioners Remus Smith, Richard Simpson, Kenneth Chavious, Catherine Martin and
Evelyn Lloyd. Staff present were Town Manager Eric Swanson and Finance Director Sherry
Carter.
Upon a motion by Commissioner Smith, seconded by Commissioner Lloyd, the Board
moved to go into Closed Session for the purpose of giving instructions to the Town
Manager/Attorney regarding a claim by a vote of5-0. The motion was declared passed.
By consensus, the Board instructed the Finance Director and Town Manager to direct
Town Attorney Mike Brough to proceed with delinquent Food and Beverage Tax collection.
Upon a motion by Commissioner Smith, seconded by Commissioner Lloyd, the Board
moved to return to Open Session by a vote of 5-0. The motion was declared passed.
