John Reichard, Pastor of Bible Baptist 1 Church. t ' Councilmen Present: Blume, Borgmeyer, Davis, Gordon, Halsey, Roll Call Hequembourg, Lock, Roark and Scheulen. Councilmen Absent: Kliegel. A quorum was present. :s t The first item of business was presentations from the gallery. Ms. Presentation .y, ?:, Diane Boyer from the Heart of America Humane Society presented a from Humane '3`' , check for $10,000 to the City which will be applied toward the Animal Society .. Shelter. Ms. Boyer stated that the Humane Society was very pleased '. with the 75% adoption rate at the Shelter, which is much ,higher than r national figures. a Mr. Kim Niedert and Mrs. Rebecca Kurtz presented their entries in the City Seal City Seal contest and explained their designs as well as any changes Contest ,: that had been made in them. After discussion, a motion was made* and seconded to adopt Mrs. Kurtz's design as the City Seal, with both Mr. Niedert and Mrs. Kurtz receiving a $250 cash prize for their entries. ;,i.', _' Mayor Hartsfield suggested that the matter of the animal cages be Animal Cages _.;, :-:',,1 taken up at this point in the meeting. After discussion, a motion was J. made and seconded that the City assume the obligation of the contract P.; with Wood Link Fence Company to install cages at the Animal Shelter. E.
