The next item of business was New Business . • Councilman Davis asked Gary Hamburg if, to his knowledge, any Ixscrxrrrl City employees were "called on the carpet" for supporting the petition favoring Bill Byrd, a Park Board employee. Mr. Hamburg stated that no employees were "called on the carpet" but that two employees were made aware that if the support they showed for. Mr. Byrd had been for any employee other than a Park Board employee, the personnel rules and regulations for the City wou.lcl have to be ' adhered to in terms of disciplinary action. Mr. Hamburg 11-21-83 restated his answer made previously. Mr. Roark asked Mr. Hamburg if the rumor was true that any employee who attended the meeting in favor of Mr. Byrd would be in danger of losing their jobs .
