A quorum was declared present, : The first item of business was presentations from the gallery. "� : , ° , Presentations k,.: , Mr. Dou g Nix, General Manager of TCI of Jefferson City was ,f,-,--,;){_ ,an aery j present to answer questions from Council Members. Mr. Nix MI explained the "backlog” which was present when he came to 6.A MA Jefferson City, and told the Council what to expect in terms of length of time to catch up on this backlog. He also answered ;,t%`; ci questions relating to hooking up homes outside their. present. -,�,t- ” service area Councilman Halsey asked Mr. Nix to attend the = `. December 16 meeting for a status report, to which Mr. Nix agreed tJr➢ Consent The next item of business was the Consent Agenda, which included Agenda Council Minutes of 10-21-85, and awarding of the following bids : Y. 718 Computer System, Police Department ' - 722 Recap Tires , Central Maintenance Division, DOS!' • 725 PVC Pipe, Water Pollution Control. Division, Public Works .- , Councilman Borgmeyer moved that Bid 722 be >:c•moved from they Consent Agenda and asked the Purchasing Department for , information regarding the cost difference between the Sed al i<a bidder and the local bidder. Motion to remove Bid 722 wan - -; seconded by Councilman Nelson, and approved. Councilman Veil(' ;;-., asked Mr. Cox to explain the terms of letasiug equipment; vs . purchasing equipment on Bid 718 . Councilman V.i es: man then moved that the Consent Agenda be approved as amended, motion was seconded by Councilman Haake, and approved. Minutes Recd Mr. Davis stated that the following minutes have been received and are on file in the City Clerk' s Offices Transportation • Commission, 10--8-85; Liquor. Control Board, 10-1:0--85; senior Citizens Advisory Conunission, 10-15-85; Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, 10-16-85, and City Cemetery Board, 10--21- 85. Mr. Davis introduced Bonnie Hubert, the new Engineering Supervisor, and welcomed her to the staff . Resolutions Resolution RS85-25, intent to vacate Mulberry Street; Councilman RS85--25 Borgmeyer moved that it be approved, motion was seconded by Vacate Councilman Viessman, and approved. Mulberry Councilman Gordon requested that action be taken regarding the 179 & Country intersection of Hwy. 179 and Country Club Drive to reduce the Club traffic hazard there. He moved that Mayor Hartsfield send a letter to the Highway Department concerning that intersection, motion was seconded by Councilman Halsey, and approved. There being no further business, Councilman Haake moved that the Adjourri 'nt meeting be adjourned into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing Personnel and Real Estate, motion was seconded by Executive Councilman Halsey, and approved by the following vote: Session Aye: Borgmeyer, Davis, Gordon, Haake, Halsey, Huffman, III Nelson, Veile, Viessman and Woodman Nay: None.
