A special Council meeting was held on September 27 , 1982 , in r
ithe City Council Chambers with Mayor Hartsfield presiding. The
il meeting was called to order at 7 : 10 p.m. with the following
Councilmen present :
1 Present: Blume, Borgmeyer, Gordon, Halsey, Hequembourg,
Lock, Roark, and Scheulen.
Absent: Davis and Kliegel.
82-85 The purpose of the special meeting was the third and final
FAA reading of Bill No. 82-85 , introduced by Councilman Hequembourg,
Grant entitled:
IAN ORDINANCE WITH THE CITY OF JEFFERSON , MISSOURI , AUTHORIZING AND
' DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE ON BE-
; HALF OF SAID CITY A CONTRACT WITH THE UNITED STATES FEDERAL
1AVIATION ADMINISTRATION FOR A GRANT RELATED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF
' THE JEFFERSON CITY MEMORIAL AIRPORT TO BE FUNDED UNDER ADAP
; PROJECT NUMBER 3-29-0036-01.

I Marty Brose stated the City had asked for funding on 131 acres
Ito trade with Lincoln University, and had obtained all but 6 acres .

extension, but includes the land acquisition for the clear zones,
the apron expansion east of the terminal building, and the ease-
Iments on the present 826 runway.
.1 Bill 82-85 was read third time by title , placed on final
j passage and was passed by the following vote as Ordinance 9844:

1 Motion was made by Councilman Scheulen and seconded by
Councilman Blume to adjourn to executive session to discuss the
election of the City Clerk and litigation.
Aye: Blume , Borgmeyer, Gordon, Halsey, Hequembourg, Lock ,
Roark, and Scheulen.

Nay: None.
1 Councilmen Davis and Kliegel arrived during Executive Session.
