Mayor Hartsfield presiding. 1Prayer was offered by Mayor Hartsfield. ;,. Roll Councilmen present: Blume, Borgmeyer, Gordon, Hequembourg, Call. Kliegel, Prenger, Scheulen and Wade. Councilmen absent: Brant and Halsey. A Quorum was present. Ins. Kay Chiles of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company appeared before pre the Council and gave a presentation on a new permanent life in- - surance program which is individual life insurance policies at tion• discounted group rates. After the presentation Mayor Hartsfield stated that this will be placed on the agenda for the February 1, 1982 , meeting. The next item of business was the Consent Agenda. This included approval of the Council minutes of January 4, 1982 , Administrator' s Consent Consent report, a rezoning request for 901 Swifts Highway from RS-2, single family, to RA, multiple family dwelling and awarding of the fol- lowing bids: #159: Clothing - Fire Department - GRIFFEY UNIFORM, Kansas City, MO. #160: Parking Decals - DOT - HELD OVER. #161: Photo Lab Supplies - Police - HELD OVER. #162: Presur-Pak and spare cylinders - Fire Department - SNEAD'S SAFETY SALES , Buckner, Mo. #156: Lease/Purchase of Fire Apparatus - Fire Department - AI3LE-NICOLAS THIEL, Collinsville, Illinois. After further discussion, motion was made, seconded and carried to approve the Consent Agenda. Minutes. Minutes of the Airport Commission Meeting held December 15, 1981, were received and are on file in the City Clerk's Office. Trash Mayor reported that the Trash Franchise Committee will meet on Cites February 8, 1982, at 7: 30 p.m. to resume working on the franchise. Motion seconded by Councilman Blume and carried. The next item of business was the matter of the state audit pay- r ' ment regarding the Thomas Jefferson Library Board. Lyndel Board Porterfield, the City Counselor, researched the matter and was of Audit the opinion that the City should return the $1, 400.00 to the Charge. Library Board. Upon motion by Councilman Scheulen, seconded by Councilman Hequembourg, the Council approved returning $1, 400. 00 to the Thomas Jefferson Library Board. Greentreo Road for placement of a fire hydrant on Greontree Road. ire This Petition was referred to the Fire Chief.
