HomeMy Public PortalAbout19900807 special • 1/4tftArjk 339 SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING, AUGUST 7, 1990 A Special Council Meeting of August 7, 1990, was called to order at 1:00 P.M. with Mayor Louise Gardner presiding. The following Council Members were present: Present: Feldman, Gordon, Haake, Halsey, Scheulen, Voile, Vincent and Woodman. -4-A Absent: Mason and Owens. A quorum was declared present. Mayor Gardner stated the purpose of this meeting was for the purpose of considering Bill 90-46 regarding the sale of revenue bonds which is currently on the Informal Calendar. Councilman Scheulen requested Bill 90-46 be removed from the Informal Calendar and considered for passage and approval at this time. Councilman Scheulen moved that attached bill 90-46 be amended to reflect final numbers and agreements, (copy attached) , a summary of which had been prepared and placed before the Council prior to the meeting. Councilman Halsey seconded the motion and it was approved. Bill 90-46, sponsored by Councilman Schoulon, entitled: ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ISSUANCE, SALE AND DELIVERY OF $4 ,435, 000 PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF PARKING YWl1 REVENUE BONDS, SERIES 1990, OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING IMPROVEMENTS TO THE EXISTING PARKING GARAGE AND ACQUIRING, CONSTRUCTING AND IMPROVING OTHER PARKING FACILITIES AND RELATED EQUIPMENT, INCLUDING THE ACQUISITION OF ANY NECESSARY LAND; PRESCRIBING THE FORM AND DETAIL OF SAID REVENUE BONDS AND THE COVENANTS AND AGREEMENTS MADE BY THE CITY TO FACILITATE AND PROTECT THE PAYMENT THEREOF; PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION, SEGREGATION AND APPLICATION OF THE REVENUES OF THE PARKING FACILITIES OF THE CITY FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING THE COST OF OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF SAID FACILITIES, PAYING THE PRINCIPAL OF AND INTEREST ON SAID REVENUE BONDS, AND PROVIDING REASONABLE AND ADEQUATE RESERVE FUNDS; AND APPROVING THE FORMS OF A BOND PURCHASE AGREEMENT AND A PRELIMINARY AND FINAL OFFICIAL STATEMENT RELATING TO SAID REVENUE • BONDS. • Bill 90-46 as amended was read third time by title, placed on final passage, and passed by the following vote as Ordinance No. 11444 . Aye: Feldman, Gordon, Haake, Halsey, Scheulen, Voile, Vincent, 1 and Woodman . Nay: None. 340 SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING, AUGUST 7, 1990 As there was no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Gordon moved the meeting be adjourned. Councilman Halsey seconded the motion and it was approved.
