It was lovely to meet you. Below is an introduction of Tybee Island Book Festival and information about future
event plans. Thank you for the opportunity and support to share in city council meeting. I look forward to it.

Tybee Island Book Festival is a non-profit organization recently set up. We are currently forming a board,
creating a website, planning, and organizing, ect. Our first event will be held in the fall of 2015. The dates we
are looking at are September 17-20th. We have reserved the Tybee Island Wedding Chapel for our venue
location. As a new non-profit on Tybee we are eager to introduce ourselves and want to invite all who have an
interest in volunteering to support this event to come speak with us. I am happy to answer any questions. Our
mission is to be a great resource to authors, helping to further their careers. Ticketed classes throughout the
event will offer writing education, building authors platform,profitable author tools, and ect We will be a
resource to local writers of all ages through contests going on year round. Getting started with the students at
TIMA right away. Invites to authors, illustrators, agents, publishers,publicists, book bloggers, and book
enthusiasts will go out annually. We hope to be a resource to Tybee tourism in late September each year. I have
spoken with Chantel and Karen at city Hall to be compliant with all forms needed to produce a special event on
Tybee. Our September 2015 event will not be held on city property but we may be interested in future years
depending upon our needs. Thank you for the opportunity to introduce ourselves. We are very excited for our
fist event and to present to you. Thank you!
