HILLSBOROUGH TOWN BOARD
February 10, 1997
7:30 PM, Town Office Complex
The Hillsborough Town Board met in closed session on January 13, 1997 at 10:00 PM in
the Town Office Complex to discuss the status of negotiations fOf feal property acquisition fOf
the Cedar Grove Reservoir. Present fOf the Board Meeting were Mayof Horace Johnson,
Commissioners Remus Smith, Richard Simpson, Catherine Martin, Kenneth Chavious, and
Evelyn Lloyd, Town Managef Eric Swanson, and Town Engineef Tom Hartye.
The Town Managef and Engineef updated the Board with fegard to the status of the 30
day notices as discussed at the January 13, 1997 Closed Session. Notices are to be sent within
the week. The Engineef updated the board concerning the 404 (Federal) and 401 (State)
environmental permitting pfocess. The Town Attorney will be sending a fmal pfOpOSal to the
Corps fOf their review with regard to the extent of wetland mitigation.
The Managef bfOUght before the Board a counter offef to purchase the Patterson property
(2.811 aCfes) 2.39.13 fOf $7,500 an. By consensus the Board directed the Managef to proceed
with the purchase. The Managef stated that this is the seventh pfoperty purchase with 23
properties remaining.
Upon a motion by Commissionef Lloyd, seconded by Commissionef Smith., the Board
moved to feturn to open session by a vote of 5-0. The motion was declared passed.
The Board adjourned at 9:50 PM
